Kovacevic, currently ranked 95 after a career-high 54, relies on straight-line power but carries a weaker clay record near 35 percent in 2026 and mixed recent results that include early exits in Rome. Zhang, ranked 239 with a higher career peak of 31, leads their head-to-head 1-0 from a 2024 hard-court win and has posted a modest rebound in 2026 form alongside a comparable clay win rate. Midday showers could soften the surface and favor consistent baseline play, while both players enter with sub-50 percent overall records this season and limited recent match practice on red dirt.
