Rising memory chip and RAM costs, driven by surging AI data center demand, represent the main catalyst behind trader expectations for an iPhone 18 Pro price increase when the device launches in September 2026. Apple has already raised prices on Macs and iPads amid these pressures, while CEO Tim Cook noted the ongoing impact on margins. Analyst reports from Jeff Pu and The Wall Street Journal cite potential starting prices of $1,299–$1,399 for the iPhone 18 Pro and higher for the Pro Max, up $200–$300 from iPhone 17 Pro levels, though some forecasts suggest Apple may hold the line at $1,099/$1,199 through aggressive base pricing or higher-storage adjustments. Competitive dynamics with Samsung and Google, plus the delayed base iPhone 18 models, add further variables ahead of the expected fall announcement.
