The NHL's 2027 champion market reflects deep parity across the league, with no team exceeding an 11.5% implied probability and the top contenders clustered tightly between 5% and 12%. Recent off-season roster moves, goaltending upgrades, and defensive system tweaks have leveled the field for clubs like the Avalanche, Hurricanes, Panthers, and Oilers, while emerging depth from teams such as the Wild and Capitals adds further balance. Trader consensus captured in the pricing accounts for the long regular season grind, injury risks, and the inherent unpredictability of Stanley Cup playoff series, where home-ice advantage, special-teams execution, and late-season momentum often decide advancement. This distribution aligns with historical patterns of wide-open title races in a 32-team league.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to be named as the champion of NHL for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NHL (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the NHL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
