The Los Angeles Chargers’ agreement with David Njoku on a one-year contract worth up to $8 million in early May 2026 has driven overwhelming trader consensus around the team for the 2026-27 season. After nine seasons with the Cleveland Browns, where the Pro Bowl tight end posted career highs in receptions and receiving yards in 2023 before injuries limited his production, Njoku entered free agency for the first time and quickly aligned with a Chargers offense featuring Justin Herbert. This confirmed move explains the 94.3% implied probability for Los Angeles, reflecting the wisdom of crowds in real-money markets. Scenarios that could still shift the outcome include an early injury, a midseason trade, or unexpected contract restructuring that alters his roster status before the season concludes.
