This market will resolve to "Yes" if the team winning 1st place at the 2026 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2026), currently scheduled for October 15 to November 14, 2026, is a Western team. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A Western team is a team that qualified for the tournament through the LEC (Europe / EMEA), the LCS (North America), or the CBLOL (Brazil). Teams that qualified through the LCK (South Korea), the LPL (China), or the LCP (Asia-Pacific) are not Western teams. If the winner of Worlds 2026 is not determined by November 28, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the tournament is canceled or postponed past that date, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizer, Riot Games, via the LoL Esports website (https://lolesports.com). However, a consensus of credible reporting (e.g., Liquipedia at https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/World_Championship/2026) may also be used.Western teams like G2 Esports and LYON have posted credible results against LCK and LPL sides at MSI 2026, including G2’s 3-0 win over Gen.G and LYON’s third-place finish, narrowing the historical gap reflected in current trader pricing at 50 percent. LCK depth with Hanwha Life Esports, Gen.G, T1, and Dplus KIA alongside Bilibili Gaming’s LPL dominance still anchors Eastern expectations, yet roster stability in the LEC, NA home-soil scheduling for Worlds 2026, and evolving patch dynamics create realistic paths for an LEC or LCS squad to reach the bracket stage. A deep Western run would hinge on sustained form through Swiss and knockout rounds, favorable draws avoiding early LCK/LPL matchups, and any late meta shifts or roster issues among Eastern contenders that erode their consistency.
