Valve recently added the remade Cache to CS2's Competitive, Casual, Deathmatch, and Retakes modes in a late-April 2026 patch, marking its first official return since removal from the Active Duty pool in 2019. The map now sits outside the seven-map Premier rotation used for ranked play and pro events, where current options include Mirage, Dust II, Inferno, Anubis, Ancient, Overpass, and Nuke. Traders are watching for a post-IEM Cologne Major rotation that could slot Cache into the Active Duty pool around late July, aligning with the start of Premier Season 5 and Valve's pattern of seasonal map updates. Community discussions focus on which map would be displaced, with recent player feedback highlighting strong interest in Cache's return to competitive lineups.
