Svyatoslav Gulin enters the Prague Challenger qualifying round as the clear market favorite at roughly 75% implied probability, reflecting traders' assessment of his stronger recent form and momentum against the higher-ranked but older Marek Gengel. The 23-year-old Russian holds a career-high ranking of 358 and has posted a solid 28-16 record, while the 30-year-old Czech Gengel, ranked around 385 with a high of 229, sits at 34-10 but shows more inconsistent recent results on the Challenger circuit. No prior head-to-head exists, surface conditions in Prague favor baseline play where Gulin's movement and consistency appear to give him the edge in this early-round encounter. Home-country support and experience represent Gengel's main advantages, yet the pricing indicates limited belief in an upset given Gulin's trajectory and the absence of injury concerns for either player.
