Arthur Rinderknech, the 25th seed ranked around No. 28-29, enters this Cincinnati Open second-round match on outdoor hard courts as the clear favorite against No. 51 Juan Manuel Cerundolo. Rinderknech brings stronger recent hard-court results following a solid Montreal run and holds a superior historical record on the surface, while Cerundolo has secured just four outdoor hard wins this season and relies primarily on clay strengths. Their lone prior meeting went to Rinderknech in three sets on clay in 2023. Current trader consensus reflects these edges in implied probabilities, though Cerundolo's first-round win and baseline consistency keep the contest competitive on a fast hard-court setting where form and experience often decide tight matches.
