Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans share the IPL 2026 points table lead after 12 matches each at 8-4 records and 16 points, with RCB's superior +1.053 NRR giving a slim edge reflected in trader consensus at 28.5% versus GT's 26.1%. GT's dominant 82-run thrashing of Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 12, powered by pace spearheads Kagiso Rabada and Jason Holder, has fueled momentum, while RCB's six-wicket chase against Kolkata Knight Riders on May 13 underscores batting depth led by Virat Kohli. Split head-to-head results—RCB winning by five wickets on April 24, GT by four on April 30—intensify rivalry. Pace injuries across top sides and pivotal remaining league fixtures, including NRR tiebreakers for top-two playoff spots, keep the champion race tightly contested among chasers like SRH at 14 points.
