This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed club is determined as the runner-up of the MLS for the 2026 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of MLS for the 2026 season per the rules of MLS (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the MLS; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Midway through the 2026 MLS regular season, Nashville SC’s dominant Eastern Conference lead has left the runner-up race unusually open, with Inter Miami, Vancouver Whitecaps, Houston Dynamo, and a cluster of mid-table clubs separated by slim margins in the overall table. Recent results, including Inter Miami’s mixed form despite high goal output and Vancouver’s strong goal differential, underscore how quickly standings can shift over the remaining fixtures. Injury concerns, rotation demands, and schedule congestion further compress probabilities across contenders, while lower-ranked sides like Orlando City and New York Red Bulls face steeper paths amid winless streaks and defensive vulnerabilities. Trader consensus reflects this parity, with no single team establishing clear separation in the chase for second overall.
