Barcelona and Real Madrid sit level as the clearest contenders for La Liga runner-up because pre-season models and early 2026-27 previews project them to finish first and second in either order, with Barcelona favored for a third straight title after Mourinho’s return to the Bernabéu. Atlético Madrid’s 28.5 percent implied probability reflects their consistent top-four pedigree and European pedigree but also their projected gap to the top two. The long list of sides at 10.5 percent captures the realistic chance that depth or injuries could allow a surprise push into second, yet the wisdom of crowds keeps pricing tightly bunched around the two giants whose recent form, squad depth, and head-to-head record continue to define the title race.
