This market will resolve according to the team that wins the 2026 IIHF World Championship hockey tournament. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to win the 2026 IIHF World Championship per the rules of the tournament (e.g. they are eliminated in the knockout stages), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”. If the 2026 IIHF World Championship is cancelled, postponed after June 14, 2026, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the IIHF World Championship tournament organizers (https://www.iihf.com/en/events/2026/wm); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Trader consensus positions Canada as the heavy favorite to win the 2026 IIHF World Championship, reflecting its unmatched depth of NHL talent, proven international experience, and strong recent form in major tournaments. Finland and Switzerland sit tied for second, supported by disciplined defensive systems, reliable goaltending, and consistent quarterfinal or semifinal appearances in prior events. Sweden and the United States hold next-tier implied probabilities thanks to skilled forward groups and improving roster depth, while Czechia and other contenders trail due to thinner blue-line options and fewer top-end players available. Ongoing national team camps, injury updates, and head-to-head results from the past month continue to inform these probability assessments.
