This market will resolve according to the winner of the 2026 American Conference Football Championship, determining the champion of the American Conference for the 2026 college football season, currently scheduled for December 5, 2026. If this championship is postponed after December 19, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, canceled, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other." If multiple teams are declared co-champions, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the American Conference (https://theamerican.org); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The American Athletic Conference title race remains wide open entering the 2026 season, reflected in the bunched implied probabilities across Navy, UTSA, Memphis, Tulane, East Carolina, South Florida, and Army. Preseason media days and spring outlooks highlight competitive balance driven by returning quarterback production, roster continuity at several programs, and coaching transitions that have leveled the field. Head-to-head history shows frequent turnover among recent champions, while recruiting rankings and early win-total projections underscore no single team holding a decisive edge in conference play or strength of schedule. Trader consensus captures this parity, with situational factors like home-field splits and late-season momentum likely to decide the outcome.
