**Coventry City leads the market at 57% for finishing last in the 2026-27 Premier League, reflecting the typical challenges facing newly promoted sides after they won the Championship title under Frank Lampard.** The Sky Blues, alongside fellow promoted clubs Hull City and Ipswich Town, enter the top flight after long absences and face squad strengthening needs to compete against established Premier League defenses and physical demands. Opening-weekend results, including Coventry’s 0-3 defeat at Arsenal and Hull’s surprise win over Manchester United, underscore variable early form that keeps probabilities fluid. Established sides such as Sunderland, Fulham, Crystal Palace, and Nottingham Forest carry comparable risks due to squad turnover, managerial transitions, and fixture difficulty, producing a tight cluster of implied probabilities around 43-50%. The 38-game season’s length and potential for momentum shifts or injuries maintain competitive dynamics across the bottom half of the table.

If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish in last place in the 2026-27 English Premier League (EPL) season (e.g., they are mathematically guaranteed to finish above 20th), this market will resolve to "No".
In the event of a tie for last place, this market will resolve based on the club officially recognized by the Premier League as finishing in 20th place. If multiple clubs are officially recognized as finishing in last place, this market will resolve to the club whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If the 2026-27 English Premier League (EPL) season is cancelled, postponed after June 13, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no last-place club declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The primary resolution source will be official information from the Premier League; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
