The 2026 NFL passing touchdowns race opens with a crowded field of viable starters, reflected in trader consensus clustering several quarterbacks between 10% and 40% implied probability. Cam Ward and Malik Willis lead at 40.6% and 37.4% on the strength of new starting roles with upgraded receiving options and mobile skill sets suited to high-volume schemes. C.J. Stroud and Patrick Mahomes sit close behind amid strong supporting casts and proven red-zone efficiency, while veterans like Joe Burrow, Jared Goff, and Matthew Stafford remain in range despite modest Week 1 outputs. Early injury reports, including Sam Darnold and Kyler Murray absences, plus variable offensive line and play-caller stability, keep the leaderboard fluid over 17 games. Historical single-season TD totals show limited year-to-year carryover, sustaining the tight distribution across contenders.
