This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed host nation takes one of the two reserved host places at UEFA Euro 2028. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Under the qualification system approved by UEFA, England, Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland enter qualifying as host nations, and two places at the final tournament are reserved for the two best-ranked host nations that do not qualify as a group winner or best runner-up at the conclusion of the qualifying group stage. A host nation that qualifies on merit as a group winner or best runner-up has not taken a reserved place, and the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If fewer than two host nations fail to qualify on merit, the unused reserved places are not awarded and the corresponding markets will resolve to "No". If UEFA Euro 2028 is cancelled, postponed after June 1, 2028, 11:59 PM ET, or the final tournament participants have not been officially confirmed by UEFA within that timeframe, the corresponding market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from UEFA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The UEFA EURO 2028 qualification format, approved by the UEFA Executive Committee in May 2025, requires the four host nations—England, Republic of Ireland, Scotland, and Wales—to compete in the group stage alongside other entrants, with exactly two final-tournament spots reserved for the best-ranked hosts that miss direct qualification as group winners or top runners-up. This safety-net mechanism, which can expand or contract playoff paths between two and four additional spots depending on host performance, has shaped trader focus since the system was detailed. The July 2026 confirmation of the nine-venue schedule and December 2026 qualifying draw in Belfast represent the most recent milestones, with group assignments and Nations League results now the key variables that will determine how many reserved slots are ultimately claimed. No changes to the two-slot structure have emerged in 2026.
