Trader consensus overwhelmingly favors the Los Angeles Chargers at 91.3% implied probability for David Njoku's 2026-27 team after the Pro Bowl tight end agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $8 million, announced by the team and reported widely four days ago. Following nine seasons with the Cleveland Browns and an injury-shortened 2025 campaign, Njoku visited the Chargers post-2026 NFL Draft, filling a need for a proven receiving TE alongside Justin Herbert in a thin room. This free agency move spiked odds dramatically, reflecting skin-in-the-game confidence in the finalized terms. Realistic challenges include physical concerns derailing the contract, preseason injury landing him on injured reserve, or an unexpected release or trade before Week 1 roster cuts.
