This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed country officially recognizes Israel as a state between market creation and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. An announcement of intentions will not suffice to resolve this market to "Yes." Only a government's formal recognition of the State of Israel will count toward a “Yes” resolution for this market. The primary resolution source for this market will be official government information. However, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.Recent diplomatic momentum centers on the Abraham Accords framework, with Israel and Morocco agreeing in mid-September 2026 during UNGA talks to elevate liaison offices to full embassies, exchange ambassadors, expand flights, and finalize investment and tax treaties by year-end. This builds on Morocco’s 2020 recognition while reinforcing trilateral U.S. involvement. Israel has also pursued outreach in Latin America and Africa, restoring ties with several states and becoming the first nation to recognize Somaliland in late 2025. Among the roughly two dozen UN members that do not recognize Israel—primarily Arab League and OIC states such as Saudi Arabia, Algeria, and Indonesia—progress hinges on bilateral incentives, regional security dynamics, and Palestinian-related conditions. No major new formal recognitions have been confirmed in the final quarter of 2026, though scheduled high-level visits and economic pacts could influence timelines.
