Persistent sell-outs weeks ahead and overwhelming fan demand for the limited 25 U.S. IMAX 70mm screens have already prompted multiple extensions of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey run, most recently to September 16. Traders see a slight edge for another extension because the film is the first shot entirely on IMAX cameras, mirroring Oppenheimer’s pattern of repeated returns through year-end, while global box office momentum and awards buzz sustain interest. Key upcoming catalysts include September screen availability decisions and any new ticket drops; however, finite projectors and competition from other tentpoles create realistic barriers that keep consensus near even odds.
