Tommy Paul enters as the clear favorite against Adolfo Daniel Vallejo in the third round of the 2026 Cincinnati Open on hard courts, reflecting traders' assessment of the significant gap in ranking, experience, and recent results. Paul holds a 1-0 head-to-head lead after prevailing in three sets on clay in Houston earlier this year. The American's established ATP-level consistency and strong hard-court record contrast with Vallejo's emerging status as a lower-ranked Paraguayan player still building results at Masters 1000 events. No reported injuries or withdrawals alter the matchup, though Vallejo's youth and aggressive baseline game offer underdog upset potential on any given day. The hard surface favors Paul's movement and shot-making reliability over the third-round contest.
