Chun-Hsin Tseng enters the Hagen Challenger round of 16 against home-country qualifier Tom Gentzsch on the back of limited match play and a 0-1 record in 2026, including a first-round qualifying retirement loss at the Estoril Open. The 24-year-old Taiwanese player, currently ranked outside the top 240, has posted a 17-39 career singles mark and lacks recent momentum on clay. Gentzsch, a 22-year-old German who reached a career-high ranking of No. 185 in early August, brings superior recent form, a strong serve, and local crowd support in his first meeting with Tseng. The matchup favors the higher-ranked German in trader pricing, though Tseng’s experience at the Challenger level keeps the contest competitive.
