Lan Mi holds a clear edge entering this first-round ITF W15 match on outdoor hard courts, backed by a stronger 2026 record of 36-14 and WTA ranking of 491 compared to the lower-profile Brazilian Bernardes. The Chinese player’s recent hard-court activity contrasts with Bernardes’ string of early exits on clay in domestic events. Home-soil factors and familiarity with Brazilian conditions could narrow the gap for the 20-year-old, though Lan Mi’s higher ranking and volume of wins suggest she has adapted better to the professional level. Surface speed and draw positioning remain key variables in this low-tier contest.
