Tung-Lin Wu enters the ITF M25 Taipei round-of-16 matchup holding a clear edge in recent head-to-head results, including a straight-sets tiebreak victory over Hiroki Moriya in April 2026. The Taiwanese player benefits from home-soil familiarity on outdoor hard courts, where he has posted stronger recent results at the Challenger and ITF levels compared with Moriya’s lower-ranking form. Moriya, a veteran Japanese competitor with a career-high ATP ranking of 143, has struggled for consistency in 2026 and enters off a recent loss. Both players arrive after defeats in North American events, but Wu’s higher current ranking near the top 400 and local support position him as the consensus favorite in trader pricing for this best-of-three encounter.
