The St. Louis Cardinals host the Pittsburgh Pirates for a three-game NL Central series at Busch Stadium beginning August 28, with the home side holding a narrow standings edge at 66-64 versus Pittsburgh’s 63-67. Both clubs sit well back in the division behind Milwaukee and Chicago, shifting focus to individual series outcomes and late-season momentum. The Pirates have posted strong offensive numbers this year, ranking near the top in runs scored, while their rotation features ace Paul Skenes. St. Louis counters with home-field advantage and recent competitive form. Expect starting pitching matchups and bullpen depth to shape results in these divisional contests.
