Toronto Blue Jays and Cleveland Guardians both sit in the thick of the AL wild-card race, with the Guardians holding a narrow lead over the 66-70 Jays for the final postseason berth. Toronto rebounded from a 13-2 loss to the Royals with an 8-1 win over Seattle behind Dylan Cease’s eight strikeouts and George Springer’s four-hit game, keeping playoff hopes alive. Cleveland snapped a seven-game win streak with a recent defeat but remains competitive. Cease is lined up to face the Guardians in their upcoming matchup, while both clubs manage injury concerns in their rotations and lineups. Recent form, pitching matchups, and the high-stakes playoff implications shape the current trader consensus around this interleague series.
