The 2026 Reno mayoral election will be held on November 3, 2026, to elect the mayor of Reno, NV. This market will resolve according to the candidate who becomes the next mayor of Reno as a result of this election. Temporary, interim, or placeholder mayors appointed before the election will not be considered. If the result of this election isn't known by April 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to “Other.” The primary resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting; however, if there is any ambiguity in the results, this market will resolve according to official information from the State of Nevada, Washoe County, and the City of Reno.Kate Marshall led the June 9, 2026 nonpartisan primary with roughly 45 percent of the vote and advances automatically to the November 3 general election. Kathleen Taylor and Eddie Lorton remain locked in a narrow contest for second place, with Taylor holding a slim edge that would set up a general-election matchup against Marshall. The large field of declared candidates, absence of post-primary polling, and term-limited incumbent Hillary Schieve create broad uncertainty about voter preferences in the runoff. Trader consensus reflects this even split among viable contenders, with separation likely to emerge only after final primary certification, campaign fundraising disclosures, or early general-election surveys that clarify turnout patterns and key local issues such as economic development and city services.
