The 2026 Liga 1 season features tight parity across the table after the Apertura phase and into Clausura play, with Alianza Lima holding the top spot on 48 points while Los Chankas, Cienciano, Universitario, FBC Melgar, and Deportivo Garcilaso sit within striking distance on goal difference and recent results. Multiple clubs maintain strong home/away splits and unbeaten streaks that keep playoff qualification and final positioning fluid, as traditional powers like Sporting Cristal and Universitario recover form alongside mid-table risers such as Sport Huancayo and Cusco FC. This balance of established squads with solid rosters and opportunistic performers prevents any single side from separating as a clear runner-up favorite, reflected in trader consensus pricing each contender near even odds. Late-season schedule congestion and potential injury impacts on key attackers further sustain the uncertainty heading into the closing fixtures.
