The 2026–27 NB I title race remains wide open after Győri ETO ended Ferencváros’ long dominance by claiming the 2025–26 crown, leaving multiple clubs with comparable implied probabilities around 49 percent. Early-season results have reinforced parity, with Újpest, Puskás Akadémia, and Vasas occupying the top spots while Ferencváros sits lower after mixed league and European qualifying outings. Promoted sides Honvéd and Vasas add fresh competition, and Győr’s defensive title holders benefit from momentum and organizational strength. Familiarity among the 12 teams, Budapest derbies, and the three-meetings-per-season format further compress margins, as no single side has established a decisive edge in squad depth or recent form entering the campaign.
