Morocco and Ivory Coast sit atop the AFCON 2027 market at 19% and 18% implied probability as traders weigh squad depth, recent continental pedigree, and strong showings by multiple African sides at the 2026 World Cup. Senegal, Ghana, and Cameroon follow closely behind, reflecting a wide field of established contenders with proven attacking talent and experienced European-based players. The tournament's move to East African co-hosts Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda for June-July 2027 introduces travel and acclimatization factors, while ongoing qualifiers have begun with notable squad announcements and a few absences due to suspensions or fitness. Host infrastructure concerns add minor uncertainty, but the market consensus highlights the even spread of quality across North and West African nations rather than any single dominant side.
