Filip Peliwo enters this Zhangjiagang Challenger qualifying match as the clear favorite on outdoor hard courts, backed by his No. 554 ranking, prior ATP-level experience, and seeding as the No. 10 qualifier. The Canadian-born Pole has reached a career-high of No. 161 and holds a stronger recent record on the surface compared to Sheng Tang, a Chinese wild card ranked outside the top 850 with limited success in 2026 Challenger or ITF events. This marks their first meeting. Peliwo’s superior return metrics and overall match-play depth in recent hard-court outings have shaped trader consensus around a high implied probability for the higher-ranked player, though qualifying formats remain prone to upsets from motivated locals. No confirmed injuries or withdrawals affect either side.
