CF Montréal and Vancouver Whitecaps face off in a tightly contested Canadian Championship semifinal second leg at Saputo Stadium, where the home side’s crowd support and recent 1-1 draw at BC Place balance Vancouver’s superior MLS Western Conference standing and expected-goals edge. Vancouver lead the league in goal differential and defensive metrics but enter with multiple defensive absences, including Édier Ocampo’s concussion protocol and ongoing issues for Ranko Veselinovic and Ralph Priso. Montréal sit near the Eastern Conference basement after heavy recent defeats yet showed resilience in the first leg and benefit from a short turnaround on familiar turf. These offsetting factors—form disparity versus home momentum and injury disruption—keep implied probabilities clustered around even for a win or draw.
