Canada enters the 2026 IIHF World Championship in Switzerland as the clear market leader, backed by an elite roster featuring Sidney Crosby, Macklin Celebrini, and John Tavares that gives them unmatched depth and experience. The ongoing group stage has seen early wins for Canada, Finland, and host Switzerland, reinforcing their positions while recent roster announcements and NHL playoff timing have kept star availability high for the top contenders. Switzerland benefits from home-ice energy and a strong core including Roman Josi and Nico Hischier, lifting their implied probability. Finland maintains steady form through consistent international play, and the United States, fresh off a 2025 title, remains a viable threat despite a slightly adjusted roster. These factors align with trader consensus reflected in the current pricing.
