Recent polling averages place Shas, the Sephardi ultra-Orthodox party led by Aryeh Deri, in the 7–10 seat range ahead of the October 27 election, with most surveys clustering at 7–9. This positioning reflects the ongoing conscription impasse, which has pressured Haredi parties and prompted some traditional voters to shift toward Likud or Otzma Yehudit. Shas finalized its slate in early September with limited changes, including a military veteran in a mid-tier spot, while internal reconciliation between Deri and Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef aimed to stabilize support. Surplus agreements and bloc arithmetic further shape outcomes, as the Netanyahu-aligned parties project near 50 seats overall. These factors sustain trader consensus around 8–9 seats as the modal result, with limited movement expected absent major shifts in turnout or draft legislation before election day.
