Incumbent Wang Chung-ming holds the strongest position in trader consensus for the Lienchiang County magistrate race, reflecting his status as the sitting KMT magistrate since late 2022 and the party's consistent dominance in the Matsu Islands electorate. Prior local contests, including the 2022 vote where he defeated fellow KMT contender Tsao Erh-yuan, established a clear baseline of support that has not faced notable recent challenges or announced rival campaigns. Low probabilities attached to Tsao Erh-yuan, Tsao Erh-chang, and a long list of other named options align with the absence of fresh polling shifts, party nomination disputes, or cross-strait policy developments that might alter the competitive landscape ahead of the scheduled 2026 balloting.
