Liga MX's Apertura 2026 features deep parity across its 18-team field, with early matchday results underscoring how fluid the race for second remains. After two rounds, Tijuana, Cruz Azul, Atlas, and Necaxa sit unbeaten at the top, while established sides such as Club América, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Tigres UANL, Toluca, and Pachuca carry strong historical pedigrees, attacking depth, and recent reinforcement activity that keep implied probabilities tightly clustered. Coaching transitions at Cruz Azul, ongoing stadium logistics, and typical factors like travel, fixture congestion, and head-to-head records further prevent any single contender from pulling clear. The league's balanced competition and points-based qualification format sustain this bunched trader consensus through the opening phase.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve to the team officially recognized by Liga MX as finishing in second place in the Apertura final phase. If multiple teams are officially awarded second place, the market will resolve to the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish 2nd in the 2026 Liga MX Apertura competition (e.g. they are mathematically unable to achieve enough points), the market will resolve to "No".
If the 2026 Liga MX Apertura is cancelled, postponed after December 27, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no 2nd place team declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The primary resolution source will be official information from Liga MX. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
