Paris Saint-Germain enter the 2026-27 Ligue 1 campaign as five-time defending champions after securing the 2025-26 title with a strong finish ahead of Lens and Lille. The club has bolstered its attack with high-profile additions including winger Mika Godts and forward Ferran Torres, aiming to extend their domestic dominance and secure another direct Champions League league-phase berth. Lens, Monaco, and other mid-table sides from last season will compete for the remaining top-four spots that deliver European qualification under the current UEFA coefficient rules, with the opening fixtures kicking off in late August. Squad depth, transfer activity, and early-season results will shape the race for those positions.
