The crowded field for the October 4, 2026, Maynas provincial mayoral election features more than two dozen registered candidates, including Joel Ronal Parimango Álvarez, Roger Cristóbal Gronerth Pinedo, and several others polling in the mid-30s, with no frontrunner exceeding low-40s support. Recent party primaries in May selected delegates and narrowed some lists, yet the absence of dominant polling trends, endorsements, or major campaign events since then has kept implied probabilities fragmented. Traders reflect this uncertainty through evenly distributed pricing, as vote splitting among local parties and independents remains likely until closer to election day. Late surges by any contender or shifts in turnout among Iquitos-area voters could quickly concentrate odds.
