This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 National League Comeback Player of the Year award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Zack Wheeler commands 69.5% implied probability in the NL Comeback Player of the Year market after thoracic outlet decompression surgery removed a rib near his throwing shoulder last fall, sidelining the Phillies right-hander into late April. Since returning, Wheeler has posted elite numbers, including a sub-3.00 ERA with high strikeout totals through mid-August, reflecting a strong rebound from the blood clot and procedure that ended his 2025 campaign. Sandy Alcantara sits at 14.5% following Tommy John surgery that wiped out 2024 and a 5.36 ERA in his 2025 return; the Marlins ace has stabilized in 2026 with a 3.5 ERA over 160-plus innings and multiple shutout outings. Brandon Woodruff and Michael Harris II trail further back, limited by lingering injury recoveries and less dominant recent form relative to the top two. Trader consensus reflects these verified performance trajectories and recovery timelines.
