If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Nolan McLean’s strong start on the mound for the Mets has positioned him as the slight frontrunner in the 2026 NL Rookie of the Year race, with traders citing his sub-3.00 ERA, elite strikeout rate, and proven MLB debut last season as key momentum builders. Close behind sit Cardinals infielder JJ Wetherholt, whose elite on-base skills, power, and standout defense at second base keep him in striking distance, and Pirates phenom Konnor Griffin, whose speed and athletic tools have fueled early steals and extra-base production. Red-hot Reds prospect Sal Stewart rounds out the top tier with his advanced bat. The tight market reflects how quickly hitting versus pitching narratives can shift as the season unfolds, with guild-style BBWAA voting ultimately hinging on sustained performance through September.
