Joey Chestnut's status as the prohibitive favorite to win the 2026 Nathan's Famous men's title leaves second place wide open in a deep competitive eating field. Recent qualifier results highlight strong showings from Max Stanford and George Chiger, while established pros like Patrick Bertoletti, Geoffrey Esper, James Webb, and Nick Wehry bring comparable experience and recent form. With no single challenger separating from the pack in head-to-head history or training updates, trader consensus reflects a tightly bunched group where minor differences in conditioning, strategy, or event-day execution could determine the runner-up.
