The Big 12's quarterback depth keeps the 2026 passing yards leader market tightly bunched, with trader consensus reflecting broad parity across multiple programs early in the season. Returning starters and transfers such as Noah Fifita, DJ Lagway, Avery Johnson, and Jaden Craig enter with comparable volume expectations, supported by similar offensive line protection and receiver talent. Historical conference trends show passing yards leaders rarely separate dramatically before midseason, as schedule strength, injury reports, and usage patterns can shift quickly. No single signal caller holds a clear edge in recent form or matchup advantages, leaving implied probabilities clustered and responsive to the first several weeks of conference play.
