The upcoming Czech municipal elections on October 9-10, 2026, will determine Brno's next mayor through city council selection after proportional representation voting. Kamila Zlatušková leads trader consensus as the ODS-TOP 09 candidate following Markéta Vaňková's withdrawal for health reasons, while Jakub Hruška heads the KDU-ČSL-STAN list and Václav Trojan represents ANO 2011. The tight positioning reflects fragmented party support, the need for post-election coalitions to secure a council majority, and limited recent polling shifts among leading contenders. Key upcoming factors include final campaign positioning on local issues like housing, transport, and urban development, plus any last-minute coalition signals that could consolidate backing for one slate over others.
