Recent polling ahead of Quebec’s October 5 general election shows the Parti Libéral du Québec (PLQ) holding steady in the low-20s popular vote, tied or close with the Coalition Avenir Québec for second place behind the Parti Québécois. Trader consensus around 28–35 seats reflects the party’s heavy concentration among anglophone and allophone voters on the Island of Montreal, where it remains dominant, contrasted with weaker francophone support province-wide that produces inefficient seat conversion. Multiple regional toss-ups, limited movement after recent debates, and competition from the surging Conservatives keep outcomes clustered in the low-30s range. Further shifts in suburban or francophone turnout, or late swings in key ridings, could push results higher or lower within the narrow band.
