The 2026 PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club remains wide open after 36 holes, with Maverick McNealy and Alex Smalley sharing the lead at 4-under while Chris Gotterup, Hideki Matsuyama, Min Woo Lee, and Aldrich Potgieter sit one stroke back. This tight leaderboard, combined with the Donald Ross layout's demanding bentgrass greens and variable East Coast conditions, has prevented any single player from pulling away in the market. Jon Rahm's steady scoring and recent form keep him atop the implied probabilities, but Scottie Scheffler's position just off the lead and strong recent major history sustain his share alongside Gotterup. The 156-player field depth and lack of dominant separation after two rounds continue to cluster probabilities tightly among top contenders entering the weekend.
