This market will resolve according to the listed country/region of the 2026 Pokémon VGC World Championship (Masters Division) champion. For the purposes of this market, "Europe" refers to any country within the Play! Pokémon Europe rating zone. If the champion's listed country is not the United States, Japan, or a country within the Play! Pokémon Europe rating zone, this market will resolve to "Other". In the event of a tie, this market will resolve in favor of the country/region of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 Pokémon VGC World Championship is cancelled, postponed after September 13, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or if a champion has not been declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from The Pokémon Company International; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Japan's dominant position in the 2026 Pokémon VGC Masters division stems from its rigorous Japan Championship Series qualification, which funnels a deep talent pool of experienced players into the event, combined with strong recent form. Multiple Japanese competitors, including Hiroshi Onishi and Takuma Yamazaki, have advanced through Swiss rounds and top cut at the San Francisco Worlds, reaching the grand final. This aligns with Japan's historical edge in VGC, marked by multiple past Masters champions and consistent high placements. Trader consensus reflects these results, pricing Japan heavily while assigning minimal implied probability to North America, Europe, or other regions whose representatives have largely been eliminated. An upset by a non-Japanese finalist or late-round reversal remains possible but improbable given current bracket positioning and head-to-head momentum.
