Arsenal enter the 2026-27 Premier League as defending champions with unmatched managerial continuity under Mikel Arteta and a stable core bolstered by summer additions like Bruno Guimaraes. This contrasts with widespread upheaval elsewhere, including new coaches at Manchester City (Enzo Maresca post-Pep Guardiola), Liverpool (Andoni Iraola), Chelsea (Xabi Alonso), and several others amid a record number of changes. Heavy transfer spending by Chelsea and Tottenham, alongside departures such as Mohamed Salah from Liverpool, shapes squad depth and attacking options. Early results and the closing transfer window will test whether these transitions allow challengers to secure the four Champions League spots or if Arsenal’s consistency maintains a clear edge in the title and European qualification race.
