This market will resolve to "Yes" if any player records more than 28 rushing touchdowns during the 2026-27 NFL regular season, thereby breaking the NFL single-season rushing touchdowns record. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The NFL single-season rushing touchdowns record is 28, set by LaDainian Tomlinson in 2006. Matching the record exactly will not be sufficient; a player must exceed 28 rushing touchdowns for this market to resolve to "Yes". Only regular season games count. Playoff games, including Wild Card, Divisional, Conference Championship, and Pro Football Championship games, do not count. A player's total is the total he records across all of his 2026-27 NFL regular season games, including games played for more than one team. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is shortened, truncated, or ends early for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available official data for completed games. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined whether any player exceeded 28 rushing touchdowns within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "50-50". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The NFL single-season rushing touchdown record of 28, set by LaDainian Tomlinson in 2006, remains untouched amid modern trends favoring pass-heavy schemes, running back committees, and defensive emphasis on goal-line stands. Recent leaders have topped out at 18, including Jonathan Taylor in 2025 and 2021, reflecting how volume and efficiency rarely align for record-breaking output. For the 2026 campaign, projected leaders like Jahmyr Gibbs, Derrick Henry, and Taylor are expected to approach 13-14 rushing scores based on preseason depth charts and offensive roles, creating trader balance around the 46-54% range. Factors that could shift odds include a true workhorse back securing 350-plus carries in a high-powered offense, sustained goal-line dominance, or injury-driven usage spikes—while a league-wide shift toward spread formations or early-season injuries would reinforce the "no" side.
