Mitch Marner’s historic three-goal outburst in Game 3 of the Vegas Golden Knights–Carolina Hurricanes Stanley Cup Final has driven overwhelming trader consensus for him to post the series-high single-game goal total. Acquired by Vegas in the prior offseason, the forward has posted elite playoff scoring totals, including the fastest hat trick in Finals history, while leading all skaters in points and high-danger metrics. His current form, linemate chemistry, and usage in a best-of-seven matchup create a steep barrier for challengers. A realistic shift would require another player—such as Jack Eichel, Sebastian Aho, or Seth Jarvis—to record four or more goals in one of the remaining games, an outcome that remains possible given the series’ high-event nature and the unpredictability of postseason scoring bursts.
