The 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league phase is only days old, leaving the runner-up market wide open among a deep field of contenders with proven depth and recent momentum. PSG’s back-to-back titles and three-peat pursuit position them as clear favorites for first, which compresses probabilities for second among Barcelona, Arsenal, and Bayern Munich—each entering with strong domestic starts, elite attacking options, and squad versatility suited to the expanded Swiss-system format. Real Madrid under Mourinho, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Inter remain realistic threats given historical pedigree and key reinforcements, while mid-tier sides like Napoli, Atlético, and Dortmund carry upset potential through favorable draws or home advantage. Injuries and fixture congestion add further uncertainty, sustaining tight pricing across the top half-dozen clubs.
