The upcoming September 27, 2026, renewal of 178 French Senate seats, elected indirectly by an electoral college of local officials, leaves Union Centriste outcomes highly uncertain. Current holdings stand at 59 seats following the prior cycle. Recent March 2026 municipal results and ongoing centrist-right alliances shape the college's makeup without producing clear shifts. This keeps probabilities clustered across 56-67 seat ranges as traders weigh modest gains or losses tied to departmental variations. Separation could emerge from final alliance pacts, turnout among grand électeurs, or late adjustments in centrist positioning relative to Les Républicains and other groups ahead of the vote.
